Aldo Ocampo is a highly experienced lawyer with more than 35 years of practice in insurance and reinsurance law in Mexico. He is Senior Partner of the firm, recognized for his strategic counsel to insurers and reinsurers, as well as his role in resolving high-impact complex disputes and litigation.

Since joining the firm in 1991, he has led the representation of insurers, reinsurers and companies in key sectors in some of the most significant cases in the national insurance market. His practice focuses on designing legal strategies to address large-scale claims, complex litigation and high-value disputes, particularly in the financial, energy and oil industries.

Significant Milestones

CFE Cases — He currently leads a series of civil liability cases representing insurers and reinsurers in multimillion-dollar contingencies.
Fertinal Case — He led the strategic analysis of the insurance contract in the largest and most complex litigation in the history of the sector in Mexico.
Abkatún Claims (PEMEX) — In collaboration with the English firm HFW, he designed the recovery strategy against retrocessionaires for claims totaling USD 1.5 billion, achieving historic settlements.
Strategic Defense — La Latinoamericana Seguros — For more than 15 years he has managed the containment of an extraordinary-value judgment, preserving the insurer's operational stability with projections for its full release.
Regulatory Innovation — He secured a precedent before the SHCP by decoupling extended warranties on real estate from active insurance operations, opening new commercial pathways for his clients.
